I found this product while watching YouTube videos that recommending items for 2025 3Q Olive Young sale. It looked so unique that I really wanted to buy it. But it was so popular and it kept selling out. I waited several days and I finally managed to snatch it during the sale.

Packaging
Since it’s part of the My Fave Piece line, it comes in a mini eyeshadow-sized pan. It’s compact and easy to carry around.
Texture & How to Use
Rub with your finger and lightly pat it on. It is really very convenient to carry around and use.
The formula doesn’t melt at the body temperature. It feels a bit like a thin layer of candle wax, but softer. I feel that something comes off when I touch it. But the layer is so thin that I can hardly tell whether any product is being applied.
Blotting Effect
The description said it helps with makeup longevity, but honestly, I couldn’t see much difference.
However, when I used it after my skin got oily, yes, it worked! I gently rubbed it on my shiny forehead and the oil shine disappeared instantly. That was impressive and that’s what I had seen in YouTube videos. After applying, my skin looked soft-matte and smooth.
Just like its name “blotting balm,” it absorbed excess oil well. The unnecessary shiny areas turned matte right away, so I think it could easily replace blotting paper.
Also, the blotting effect lasted quite well. Lately I've been using it just right after finishing my makeup. As you can see from the photo, even after hours, only a bit of shine came back, but overall, my skin still looked soft and semi-matte.
Feel
I really liked that Jello Berry didn’t make my skin feel dry. Normally, blotting papers or powders remove too much oil, leaving my skin feeling tight. But this Holika Holika blotting balm doesn't!

It also made my skin texture look smoother.
But since it’s a product that you layer over existing makeup, it doesn’t feel completely refreshing like removing oil. It adds a bit of thickness instead. So if you apply it two or three times throughout the day, it might start to feel heavy.
Final Thoughts
Among all the products I bought recently, the Holika Holika Jello Berry Blotting Balm is my favorite.
It’s effective and I’m genuinely satisfied with it. If you find using blotting paper inconvenient, this is a great alternative to try.
